Nutrition and Disease

There is a reason why one may be unwell. It is not, as we may be led to believe by current understanding, the unfortunate fruit of a macabre lottery.

All circumstances in our lives form a picture which leads us to disease or wellness. That includes our life style and, of course, our diet. When we get to understand this, a feeling of guilt may invade us. Whereas there is certainly some level of responsibility, there should be no sense of guilt for we cannot be blamed for what we did not know. We all tend to behave according to cultural ancestral patterns which are very difficult to question and even more break free from.

So yes, our diet plays a key role in our wellness. There are mainly two reasons why we may function far from ideal perfect health. These are lack of essential nutrition and too much internal pollution. Plenty of leading scientists believe that genetics play far less of a determining factor that media lead us to believe.

Due to current commercial mass production farming together with our hectic lives, most of us are malnourished, lacking key ingredients for our wellness. Also we are all aware of the scary amount of new chemical compounds being produced everyday which one way or another come in contact with us. These are labelled as “safe” because 1. They have not been tested on humans for long enough if at all and 2. They claim that in tiny amounts they will not hurt us. However, they are getting to us in spades and definitely damaging our health.

Since our wellness directly depends on our levels of nutrition and internal toxicity, when you nourish your body with optimum nutrition and you allow it to detoxify those nasty elements, your systems have the opportunity to work towards getting yourself well. Yes, it is that simple.

I think every doctor will agree to accept their limited powers of diagnosis and cure. Your body, on the other hand, knows exactly what is wrong and knows exactly what to do to repair itself back to health. You only have to allow it: give it the tools via nutritious unpolluted food that will give it the strength and clean it from internal toxicity that cripples its ability.

When you embark on a journey to your well-being, you may be bombarded with information about what to eat and what not. A bit of advice: while it may be interesting to find what is interesting about a particular food, look not for what is good, but investigate what is harmful in it. Your health depends more on the harmful elements you do NOT put inside yourself than the good things you do. I cringe to see how harmful substances are commonly sold as healthful based on some goodness it contains ignoring its damaging effects.
